Learn to skydive

We’re blonde and we’re ballistic – we also have the most experienced skydive instructors in Northland and we’ll get you flying solo quickly and safely.

Accelerated Free Fall (AFF) is your ticket to the fastest way to learn to skydive in New Zealand and Skydive Ballistic Blondes is one of only three skydive operators in New Zealand offering the programme.

The AFF programme includes a first jump training course where you will undergo 6 to 8 hours of training in skydiving practice and theory, canopy control, emergency procedures etc. The next step is a tandem jump with one of Skydive Ballistic Blondes’ experienced skydive instructors to fly you through the steps to a successful jump.

You’re on your own! Go ‘Ballistic Solo’ on your second flight with your skydive instructors right beside you, steadying and correcting during your flight using hand signals and holds as required.

You’ll learn to skydive on the AFF programme in a few weeks, depending on the number of jumps you achieve in a day. You’ll jump up to 50 times – depending the level of certification you’d like to achieve – with several jumps a day, so you master the sport of skydiving quickly and safely, using state of the art student equipment.

Skydive Ballistic Blondes also offer commercial skydive courses for those who want to work in the industry. We have courses for camera, tandem and drop zone management – earn your living doing something you love to do in the most scenic drop zone in the North Island!
